What is God’s Plan: The 3 Plans Which Lead to an Ultimate Plan

God 3 Plans.png

God wanted relationship with us from day one, and he got it until…sin.

Sin tainted God’s initial plan, which was for us to be with him. He created us for a deep and personal relationship with himself. The entry of sin aborted that initial plan and separated us from God. Sin’s plan is destructive with a goal of disconnecting us forever from the loving God.

Thus, God had to create a new plan which required an required an once-and-for-all sacrifice as payment for sin. The payment is Jesus Christ. His acts of death, resurrection and ascension were God’s plan to see us ready for relationship with him. God’s redemption plan requires belief and commitment to live according to Jesus’ guidance.

Thinking about searching…

If you haven’t noticed from my prior writings, I’ve been thinking a lot about the word “searching” lately. People are in a constant mode of searching for something. Something to fulfill them. Something to plug the hole.

The search leads to many potential solutions. Each has temporary results. It’s why the same theories repeat wearing different labels. It’s why everything from fashion to social policy has repeating cycles. Have you ever found yourself saying didn’t we do this before, but we labeled it something different? It’s because we have done it before, and we did call it something different.

We humans are unsettled, almost discombobulated and disconnected. Even the wealthiest of us have found extravagance fails to fill a longing or a gap within.

Therefore, the search continues. It seems more intense these days; the temporary solutions seem more bizarre. Throughout it all, I find myself constantly asking, “What’s going on?”

But I know what’s going on. We are ignoring God’s redemption plan, which breaks his heart. One plan not shown in the picture above is his ultimate plan. This is when God will no longer tolerate our world and our snubbing his desire for relationship. My prayer is for more people to see the sweet joy of his redemption plan before the ultimate plan kicks in.

I really want to hear from you….

As you observe our world today, have you been asking “What’s going on?” What do you think is going on?

Sometimes being a Christian is challenging. Often we aren’t honest about our struggle.
